Demonstration of a blockchain-based framework using smart contracts for supply chain collaboration

Blockchain technologies can support traceability, transparency and trust among participants. This has primarily been explored in established supply chains not the growing use of business networks or ecosystems, which is a notable limitation since typically are organised with dominant actor that ensures common information systems standards negate blockchain benefits. Hence, this study explores design blockchain-based collaborative framework for resource sharing using smart contracts. These particularly well-suited supporting operations broader ecosystems beyond collaborations hierarchies. Based on systematic literature review, demonstrator was developed stakeholder interactions through procurement distribution unit backed technology. The consists (a) network architecture to demonstrate partner interactions; (b) rules working principles based collaboration requirements; (c) UML diagram define contract interaction sequence; (d) algorithm verification validation. Applicability these contracts verified by deployment an Ethereum blockchain. quality data authenticity networks, so it useful effective utilisation where outsourcing production surpluses major issues.
